    Who I Work With

I’m proud to support a diverse range of clients in the Boston area and beyond. I welcome:
    Young professionals building their careers.
Students adjusting to new academic or social environments.
    New parents and parents-to-be.
Older adults entering new life stages.
As an immigrant and person of color, I also understand the complexities of relocation and cultural transitions firsthand. I provide life transition therapy for relocation challenges – from homesickness and culture shock to finding your community in a new place.
My practice is LGBTQ+ friendly and affirming. Whether you’re exploring your identity or seeking a therapist who truly understands the importance of cultural background, you’ll find a warm welcome here. Everyone’s journey is unique, and I honor that by tailoring my counseling approach to your specific needs and values.

    Session Options & Pricing

I offer a range of therapy sessions to meet your needs. Below is a breakdown of my services and fees:

    Intake Session (60 minutes)

$200 per session — This first session is an in-depth meeting where we’ll get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. We’ll start forming a plan tailored to your situation.

    60-Minute Psychotherapy Session

$200 per session — Standard ongoing therapy sessions for individuals. In these weekly or bi-weekly sessions, we’ll work through your challenges, build coping skills, and track your progress over time.

    Crisis Psychotherapy Session

$100 per session — A shorter, focused session intended for times when you need immediate support. If you’re in acute distress or facing an urgent issue related to a life transition, this session provides timely help to get you stabilized and supported.

    Understanding Life Transitions

Life transitions are major shifts in life that can shake up your routine and sense of stability. Some changes you might be experiencing include:

    Career changes

Starting a new job, changing careers, or retiring can bring excitement as well as stress and uncertainty.

    Relationship changes

Getting married, moving in together, becoming a parent, or going through a breakup or divorce can all upend your day-to-day life and emotions.

    Loss and grief

The death of a loved one, loss of a friendship, or any significant loss can leave you feeling unmoored and struggling to cope.

    Relocation or cultural adjustment

Moving to a new city, country, or culture (whether for work, school, or personal reasons) often means rebuilding your support network and adapting to a new environment.

    Life stage transitions

Graduating from college, entering the workforce, becoming an “empty nester,” or transitioning into retirement can bring identity and role changes that feel jarring.

    Personal growth & identity

Changes like coming out as LGBTQ+, exploring your gender identity, or engaging in personal development can be empowering yet also challenging as you adjust to living more authentically.

These are just a few examples. Even when a transition is planned or joyful, it’s normal to feel off-balance. Change interrupts the familiar patterns of life, and that can stir up a mix of emotions.

    Why Transitions Can Feel Overwhelming

Major life changes often come with anxiety, stress, or even feelings of grief for what you’re leaving behind. You might feel excited one moment and terrified the next. It’s common to experience:

    Anxiety and worry

Uncertainty about the future can lead to racing thoughts and “what ifs” that keep you up at night.

    Sadness or grief

Even happy changes can carry a sense of loss. You may miss your old home, your previous job, or the way things used to be.

    Self-doubt and guilt

You might wonder if you made the right decision, or feel guilty about moving on to something new and leaving others (or old expectations) behind.

    Stress and overwhelm

Juggling practical tasks (like moving logistics or new responsibilities) along with emotional turmoil can be exhausting.

If you’re feeling any of these, you’re not alone. Seeking life transitions counseling can provide relief and perspective. Therapy offers a chance to untangle those emotions and help you make sense of them, so you don’t have to carry the weight alone.

How Life Transitions Therapy Can Help

Seeking therapy during a life change is not a sign of weakness – it’s a step toward growth and self-care. In our work together, we will:

    Make sense of your feelings

I’ll encourage you to express whatever you’re feeling in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. Whether you’re scared, sad, or hopeful, all your feelings are valid. Putting emotions into words can lessen their power and help you feel more grounded.

    Manage anxiety and stress

We’ll practice coping strategies to calm your mind and body. I often use techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and relaxation exercises to help reduce anxiety related to life transitions. In fact, life transitions therapy for anxiety can give you practical tools to handle worry and stress day-to-day.

    Find clarity and direction

Big changes can leave you questioning “What now?” I’ll help you reconnect with your values, identify your goals, and figure out what you want this next chapter to look like. Therapy can bring insight and a sense of direction when you’re feeling lost.

    Build resilience and confidence

Together, we’ll reflect on past transitions you’ve overcome and the strengths you already have. We’ll work on building resilience so you feel more confident facing future challenges. This might include improving communication skills, strengthening coping mechanisms, or simply recognizing the courage it took to embrace change.

    Navigate relationship dynamics

Life transitions can impact your relationships with family, friends, or partners. If needed, we can involve your partner or loved ones in sessions or use role-playing to practice important conversations.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. I draw on evidence-based practices but also bring in empathy, humor, and cultural sensitivity. As a therapist, I’m not here to judge or tell you what to do – I’m here to help you find your own answers and feel empowered in your choices.

    What We’ll Work On Together

Each mother’s experience is unique. That’s why therapy here is built around your story—not a one-size-fits-all plan.

Depending on your needs, we may focus on:

    • Managing intrusive thoughts and fears
    • Understanding why you feel numb or disconnected
    • Reducing guilt or shame around not “loving every moment”
    • Strengthening your support system (even when it feels like you have none)
    • Improving communication with your partner or family
    • Finding space for your identity beyond motherhood
    • Planning for your return to work or navigating parental leave
    • Coping with perfectionism or pressure to “bounce back”

Whether you need weekly therapy, short-term support, or a trusted guide through an especially difficult time—I’ll meet you where you are.

Session Rates & Investment in Your Wellbeing

I strive to make mental health care accessible and transparent. Here’s my current fee structure:

    • Intake Session (60 minutes) – $200
    • Standard Therapy Session (60 minutes) – $200
    • Crisis Support Session (30 minutes) – $100

I also offer limited sliding scale spots based on financial need. Please don’t hesitate to ask—we’ll work together to find a solution.
